Nairobi - The Egyptian FA has revealed that Football Kenya Federation (FKF) wrote a letter to Confederation of African Football (Caf) requesting for a postponement of their Olympics qualifier on Sunday.
According to the communiqué, their opponents asked for the game to be played on March 7 with return leg on March 14 because of eight of their players in the Gor Mahia and Sofapaka teams involved in the Caf club competitions preliminary rounds.
But Olympics manager Ayman Hafez has confirmed that the African football governing body has upheld inked fixtures and won’t change despite request.
