Kenya misses out on CAF African player of the year nominees

Nairobi - Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama failed to make the cut in the final shortlist for the 2013 CAF player of the year after
voting by Members of the Technical & Development and the Media Committees.
"The Head Coaches of the National Associations affiliated to CAF will
their order of preference to decide on the eventual winners of the two
categories, read a statement on the CAF official portal.
The winners will be announced at the GLO-CAF Awards Gala scheduled for early
January in Lagos Nigeria.
Yaya Toure is the reigning African Player of the Year while Mohamed Aboutrika won
the African Player of the Year (Based in Africa) award last year.
