Nairobi - DStv’s SuperSport will have another first for East African television with the first live High Definition (HD) broadcast out of Kenya, a mouth-watering clash between the table-topping Gor Mahia and defending champions Tusker.
HD broadcasting, with its crystal clear images, crisp audio and surround sound capabilities, is what TV networks the world over are striving towards. MultiChoice, industry leaders across the continent having introduced many viewer enhancing features like the PVR and DStv Mobile, continues to set the pace with East Africa’s first local HD broadcast of any sport.
”This reinforces the promise of giving the best in sporting experience to the fans. HD is brighter, clearer and comes close to the real thing. Having our own league in HD illustrates our intent of always keeping up with the dynamic world of technology,” commented Stephen Isaboke, MultiChoice’s regional director for East Africa.
