Nairobi - Newly promoted Kenyan Premier League side KRA FC have been forced to look for alternative grounds after being told they cannot use the Machakos Stadium.
KRA had applied to use Machakos, together with Sofapaka and Mathare United but have been struck off the list after they wore told by the Machakos County government that they could only accommodate two teams at their Kenyatta Stadium venue.
" We have been asked to look elsewhere, a disappointed KRA head coach Ken Kenyatta said.
" Apparently we applied third and now the county says it can't sustain three sides so we will have to move to another ground for our home matches, he confirmed.
The Kenyatta Stadium has well documented issues with its playing surface and according to county officials, having three sides at the facility would be harmful to the ground.
