KPL return delights Akango

02 July 2014, 15:40

Nairobi - Francis Akango has spoken of his delight at returning to the Kenyan Premier League after completing his move to Western Stima.

The defender has previously represented Nairobi City Stars, Tusker FC and Gor Mahia in Kenya's top flight, but has spent this season at second division side Leventis FC after initially being dropped by Stars following a spate of injuries.

However, he is now back in the KPL with Stima and ready to impress, saying: "I have been longing to play again in the Kenyan Premier League and I'm really happy.

"It has not been an easy ride for me coming from a bad injury and working hard to get back at my best.

"I have been welcomed well at Stima and I'm really happy and looking forward to enjoying my stay here," he added.
