Nairobi - The six teams that are trailing the rest of the Kenya Premier League teams in the number of matches played will be in action on Friday and Saturday.
To kick start Friday's Premier League encounters, fifth-placed Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) will play struggling Western Stima, who lie 13th on the league log.
KRA boast 30 points from 19 league matches played to date, while Western Stima occupies 13th position out of the 16-team Premier League having garnered 21 points from the same number of games played as KRA.
In a bottom-of-the-table encounter, City Stars and Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) will be battling for crucial points in order to escape the looming relegation axe.
Stars are precariously placed 14th with 18 points from19 outings while bottom of the log KCB managed 12 points from the same number of games played as their Friday opponents.
A loss will exacerbate KCB’s woes in a season they have been disappointing.
KPL completes the fixtures on Saturday with 12th placed Muhoroni Youth hosting fourth positioned Chemelil Sugar in what could be the toast of the rounds of fixtures.
Chemelil Sugar's win will push them closer to the top of the table while Muhoroni Youth's defeat will do them injustices of ending the season on top five.
However, victory for Muhoroni Youth on Saturday will see them jump three positions to a credible ninth.
After Friday and Saturday matches, the entire premiership will then go into full throttle on Wednesday next week.
