KCB return to the summit

25 March 2013, 08:24

Nairobi - KCB returned to the summit of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) courtesy of a 1-0 win over visiting Karuturi Sports side at Nairobi City Stadium on Sunday.

Leading scorer Clifford Alwanga scored his fifth goal of the season for the bankers after strong pressure on the flowermen’s goal, with a 36th minute tap in from a ball that had rebounded off the bar following a great shot by Brian Osumba.

The Ruaraka side, who have started the 2013 season in fine form, started strongly and nearly went ahead in the 20th minute through Benjamin Chaka but his shot, hard and low, missed the target by inches.
