Jobita heaps praise on U19 side

27 August 2013, 17:09

Kakamega - Western Stima chairman Laban Jobita has heaped praise on his club’s U19 side after they rose against all odds to finish the best in the recently concluded KPL U19 tournament, which was in its second edition.

Stima had a slow start, drawing all their group stage matches but turned on the style in the knockout stages to dump Group D table-toppers Muhoroni Youth as well as favourites Mathare United, before thrashing Tusker U19 4-0 in the final.

Speaking of the feat, Jobita described it as a dream come true for him as the chairman and the club in general. He lauded the youngsters for the title winning run and promised to seek ways of ensuring the team, which was formed just before the tournament, is retained.
