Imbalambala backs Leopards for victory

14 November 2013, 12:02

Nairobi - AFC Leopards captain Martin Imbalambala has backed his side for victory in the weekend GOtv Shield final clash with Gor Mahia.

Imbalambala will lead Leopards into the clash hoping to give the club's fans something to smile about after they have not managed to beat bitter rivals Gor this season.

According to the captain, the clash will give them an opportunity to do well and land a much needed trophy after going empty handed last season.

" It is a good chance for us to be able to show our all round quality, he said. We have been able to get some favourable results in the last couple of matches and we want that to continue in this game.

" Our fans too will be hoping that we are able to get the win and end the season well, so we will be looking forward to the match. We should have a capable team for the weekend, considering we have not had many injuries and that should give us a good chance of winning the game," he added.

This season, Leopards have lost and drawn the two meetings they have had with Gor and so will be hoping for a change in fortunes at the Nyayo Stadium.
