Harambee Stars/Tanzania clash moved to Nyayo

10 December 2013, 14:54

Nairobi - The CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup semi-final between Kenya's Harambee Stars and Taifa Stars of Tanzania will be played at the Nyayo National Stadium.

This is after the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos was declared unfit for use by the coaches and players after heavy rainfall in the area Tuesday.

The match was to be played from 1PM but after several ground checks and frantic efforts to have the pitch dried up, it was finally moved.

" Sadly for Machakos, the rainfall has decided to play bad host and despite all the effort made, we have been forced to move the game to Nyayo, CECAFA Secretary General Nicholas Musonye said.

The match will kick off from 7PM local time.

The other semi pitting Zambia and Sudan will still be played in Mombasa at the earlier agreed 4PM.
