Harambee Stars to play Morocco's Atlas Lions in friendly

Nairobi - Harambee Stars will play against Morocco's Atlas Lions in a friendly international in Marrakech on October 13.
The Atlas Lions, who will be hosting the 2015 Africa Nations Cup finals, will be using the event to gauge their team's performance as they are not involved in the AFCON qualifying process.
"I am happy we have been able to secure another international match with a big opponent. We want to utilize it to test several sets of players and playing patterns," said Harambee Stars head Coach Bobby Williamson.
Though Kenya has been bundled out of the Africa Nations Cup, the continent's premier football competition, they have to be busy maintaining their tempo high and start early preparations for the 2017 AFCON, which they are bidding to host after Libya's withdrawal due to insecurity and failure to build required stadiums in time.

Elsewhere, it has emerged that Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has officially terminated the contract of former coach Adel Amrouche.
The Algerian coach is serving a six month ban by Confederation of African Football (CAF) after he was found guilty of spitting on a referee during Kenya match against Comoros.
Amrouche is still in the country even after Kenya was eliminated from the AFCON qualifiers by Lesotho.
He had a long-term contract with FKF of five years and had only served one. It was not immediately clear if he will be seeking redress for the federation to compensate him.
