Harambee Stars keeper Jerim relishing Brazil trip

26 June 2014, 13:03

Nairobi - Kenya captain Jerim Onyango is hoping the country's players, coaches and staff can find inspiration during their current visit to the 2014 World Cup.

The Harambee Stars were flown out to Brazil on Wednesday after Kenya president Uhuru Kenyatta's decided to sponsor a international field trip of sorts, where it is hoped that getting a hands-on experience of football's biggest tournament will help inspire the team.

Speaking of his delight at being part of the traveling party, Onyango said: "We have role models in these international teams we would like to emulate.

"This opportunity to watch them live and to mingle with them really gives us the opportunity to learn more,"

Kenya will start their education on Thursday when they travel to Estadio Nacional to watch the mouth-watering Group G match between Portugal and Ghana, where the winner could join either Germany or the United States in the last 16.
