Gyan prepared for USA onslaught

Sao Paulo - Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan expects the United States to launch a vicious assault when the two teams play against each other in Natal on Monday.
The last time the two teams played against each other at the World Cup, the Africans knocked the United States out of the tournament after a thrilling last-16 fixture in Rustenburg.
In addition, Ghana beat the United States in a group match at the 2006 World Cup, eliminating the North Americans from the tournament once again. As a result Gyan has called on his team-mates to dig deep during the match on Monday, in what is expected to be a wet Natal.
"It's going to make the game more difficult," Gyan told journalists in Brazil this week.
"They're coming for revenge. Mentally they don't want us to beat them for the third time," he added.
The popular opinion is that the United States are a transformed team under the tutelage of Jurgen Klinsmann, who took over at the helm in 2011 and Gyan is well aware of it.
"The USA are a good side, they're a very dangerous team, but we think of ourselves first," he said.
