Nairobi - The Daily Nation has revealed the multi-million Harambee Stars sponsorship deal with East Africa Breweries Limited was almost scuttled by a greedy Football Kenya Limited.
According to a letter written by FKL secretary Joseph Agola, the football company informed EABL that they were entitled to 30 per cent of the sponsorship value for the deal to go through.
“We have a working arrangement with the Harambee Stars Management Board wherein for any revenue earned by Harambee Stars the association (FKL) is entitled to 30 percent whilst the HSMB is credited with 70 percent,” Agola informed EABL on September 16.
