Gor's Blackberry happy with Champions League win

03 March 2015, 18:41

Nairobi - Gor Mahia striker George Blackberry Odhiambo was delighted with his side's win over CNaPS of Madagascar in the CAF Champions League on Sunday.

The two teams drew 3-3 on aggregate after the two legs, but the Kenyans advance thanks to the away goals rule after keeping a clean sheet at home in Nairobi

"Blackberry" Odhiambo got the vital goal in Miarinarivo after coming on as a substitute to make the aggregate score level and send K'Ogalo through.

"It wasn’t easy but the team did a great job and I am very glad that we get to remain in the competition," Odhiambo said.

Gor Mahia will now face AC Leopards of Congo in the next round, with the first leg scheduled for the weekend of 13th - 15th March.
