Gor skipper hails new boy Mboya

07 October 2014, 10:29

Nairobi - Kenyan international Jerim Onyango has backed his Mathare United counterpart Robert Mboya after the youngster got his maiden national team call up as Kenya starts preparations for the friendly against Morocco.

Mboya was called up along with Jerim, Wilson Obungu, Arnold Origi and Samuel Odhiambo and the Gor Mahia custodian says this is a big chance for the youngster to improve his profile as a player and called on him to continue working hard.

“It is a big challenge for everyone named in the team because we have to fight for this chance. As for Mboya, this is a big chance for him and as a player, this is a big step in his career and profile; I am happy for him and my advice is that he continues working hard and he will definitely go far because he has already shown that he can perform at the top and under pressure,” he said.
