Gor rally to hold Leopards

26 August 2013, 08:02

Nairobi - League leaders Gor Mahia came from two goals down to hold arch-rivals AFC Leopards to a 2-2 draw in a thrilling Kenyan Premier League clash at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.

Goals by Noah Wafula and Paul Were gave Leopards a commanding lead but a furious fightback by Gor in the last half hour saw them claw back to snatch a point and stretch their lead atop the log to 41; eight ahead of Ulinzi who are on 33.

Despite climbing to third place following the draw, Ingwe were left to rue what might have been as their winless streak against their arch nemesis stretched to five matches.
