Gor quash Lavatsa quit reports

08 January 2014, 12:20

Nairobi - Gor Mahia are confident that striker Edwin Lavatsa, who recently signed a new deal at the club will play a part in the current season.

The Harambee Stars man recently signed a new two year deal at the club and with rumours circulating that he is headed to the middle east, Gor have moved to quash such reports.

According to Secretary General George Bwana, the club has moved to ensure that Lavatsa is happy at the club and are confident he will stay at the club

" We are in talks with Lavatsa and are confident he will remain at the club, he said.

" He has been at this club since he was a small boy and we have seen him mature into a top player in the last couple of years and do not want to see him leave.

" We have an exciting project here and want him to be a part of it in the coming season, he added.

Lavatsa has previously stated his desire to remain a Gor player.

" I have been here a long time and want to stay for even longer. I am happy here, he earlier stated.
