Gor edge out Bandari

08 July 2013, 11:57

Mombasa - Gor Mahia edged out Bandari 1-0 in a tough Kenyan Premier League match played on Sunday at Mbaraki Stadium, in Mombasa.

Gor were on the attack as early as the third minute when Mungai Kiongera chased a long ball and in the process his high boot connected with Bandari keeper Wilson Obungu resulting in a serious head injury for the national team keeper.

It set the tone for a charged first half during which Kiongera, Edwin Lavatsa, Jeremy Bright and Raphael Okello all went into the referee’s book for rough play.
