Gor captain to miss Tunisia trip

06 March 2014, 15:01

Nairobi - Gor Mahia captain Jerim Onyango has not travelled to Tunisia for the clash with Esperance due to a shoulder injury.

Gor have left for Tunisia to honour the return leg of their CAF Champions League first round meeting against the Tunisian giants.

With a 2-3 loss at home last weekend, the loss of their inspirational captain will do no good for their hopes but Onyango himself is hoping for the best.

" It is sad that I will not travel but on the other hand, it hands someone else a chance to show what they can do.

" The team is confident enough and all the players know what they are capable of so I am not in any way worried that they will not do well, he added.

Gor need  a 2-0 win to make it to the second round of the competition.
