Gor and Tusker in stalemate
01 August 2013, 08:36
Nairobi - Defending Kenyan Premier League champions Tusker FC forced visiting Gor Mahia to a barren draw in an entertaining mid-week league match played on Wednesday evening at Kasarani.
The floodlit match was an end-to-end affair as both sides wrestled to get three points in their push for the title.
Tusker appeared the more ambitious side early in the match as their players, Andrew Tololwa and Jesse Were, were caught offside in the second and fifth minutes respectively. Gor Mahia, however, got the first free-kick of the match from outside the area but it was sent back into play by the stern Tusker defence – led by David Cheche Ochieng.
