Nairobi - 2013 finalists Gor Mahia were knocked out of the GOtv Shield by second tier GFC 105 at the Moi Stadium Kisumu, Saturday.
Gor were held to a 1-1 draw in normal time by the hard fighting GFC and then went on to lose 4-2 on penalties.
Simon Mburu scored for Gor on 82 minutes but they were pegged back by GFC who returned the favour on 88 minutes through Dennis Shiveka.
Mburu and Musa Mohammed missed their spot kicks as GFC converted all theirs for the shock win.
It was a day of shocks as other Premier League outfits were also knocked out of the competition.
Top Fry AllStars and Nairobi City Stars all lost to Intercity of the fourth tier and Wazito of the third tier.
Ulinzi Stars had no such problems though, seeing off Mumbi Nationale in another Shield clash.
