Nairobi - Gor Mahia have learnt lessons during their ill fated CECAFA Club championships campaign, according to head coach Bobby Williamson.
The Kenyan Premier League champions were bundled out of the Cup after failing to win even once in their trip to Rwanda.
They lost 2-1 to Uganda's KCCA, 1-0 to Burundi's Atletico and drew 2-2 with both APR of Rwanda and Djibouti's Telecom.
" We have learnt a lot from this trip and we will use it to get better as players and as a team, Williamson reflected after the draw with Telecom Sunday.
" The game has been quicker and more technical than we expected but that will only build us as a team and hopefully we will come back next year a better team, he added.
Focus now turns to the Kenyan Premier League where Gor have a number of games in hand to play.
" Now we have three games to play at home and as long as we win them we will have a very good lead and so we will now focus on that, he added.
Gor are two points behind current league leaders Tusker FC with three games in hand in the KPL.
