Gor Mahia face AFC Leopards in Nairobi derby

12 April 2015, 10:00 Dennis Masinde

Nairobi - Two of Kenya's most storied football clubs clash in the highlight of the football weekend in the Nairobi derby.

The two, current Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards, who have battled them for the best part of four decades meet at the Nyayo Stadium Sunday in week six of top flight league action.

Gor have an 100% record in the league thus far and will be looking to extend it versus a Leopards side that will be desperate to stop their charade.

The game has an added twist this time round with current Leopards coach Zdravko Logarusic having coached Gor to victory in the derby previously.

Both clubs are in serious financial trouble and a win will be a much welcome morale booster for both sides as they look to also pick up the early season bragging rights.

Kick-off will be at 3.00 local time.
