Gor, Leopards stalemate in Nairobi derby

12 April 2015, 18:35

Nairobi - Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards drew 1-1 in the first Nairobi derby of 2015.

The two sides played out a hard fought Kenyan Premier League encounter with plenty of finesse Sunday at the Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, a match none in the end deserved to lose.

Ali Abondo gave Gor the lead in the first half with Jacob Keli scoring for Leopards in the second half.

As is the norm, there were a few signs of tension and probable chaos but in the end, nothing of the sort thankfully came through.

The draw means Gor are top of the KPL log with 13 points from 5 games played, while Leopards are on 9, having played a game more.
