Germany squad hit by illness

Cape Town - Germany could be facing a selection crisis ahead of their
quarter-final against France, with seven players reporting flu-like
Mats Hummels and Christoph Kramer have already been hit by illness
during the tournament, with Hummels forced to miss the last-16 victory
over Algeria due to a cold.
It appears that his team-mates might have befallen a similar fate,
with coach Joachim Low revealing that a number of players were suffering
from “sore throats”.
"One third of our team were complaining about a sore throat," said Low. "All players were able to train.
"They still have a slight cold but there's no feeling of exhaustion. I hope that we do not have any worsening overnight."
The Germany boss looked to play down the seriousness of the
situation, adding that: "It's not all that bad at the moment. I don't
want to dramatise it."
Low would not name which players were affected.
