GOtv pumps in KES 10M in Challenge Cup sponsorship

Nairobi - The CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup has unveiled sponsorship for the upcoming tournament with pay-TV provider GOtv coming on board to a tune of KES 10 Million.
The sponsorship package which was unveiled in Nairobi Thursday, also includes KES 51 million worth of broadcast sponsorship with GOtv to air all the 26 matches to be played in the tournament.
According to CECAFA Secretary General Nicholas Musonye the package is a huge boost to the tournament.
" It is fantastic that we will have a tournament like this hosted by a true leader in football in the region as DSTV are. I thank them for their great help, he said.
Football Kenya Federation chair Sam Nyamweya on the other hand said that the government of Kenya has also promised to chip in.
" The government will present a package of their own in the coming days.
The tournament is set to kick off November 27 and will be played in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Machakos.
