Former Harambee Stars striker headed to Vietnam

19 November 2013, 11:42

Nairobi - Former Harambee Stars striker Isiah Omondi is set to leave for Vietnam.

The former SoNy Sugar forward has been plying his trade at Division One Club KRA after failing to land a deal with SoNy for the 2013 season and has helped them to the Premier League promotion playoffs.

With the playoffs to take place over the weekend, Omondi is preparing for them but says his future might be different regardless of the result.

" I'm waiting to travel to Vietnam in three weeks time. At the moment, I cant reveal the identity of the club I will be heading to but it will be known soon, he said.

" I first hope to help KRA to the Premier League and then look forward to the move.

The striker has previously had stints in the far east and was part of the Harambee Stars squad that earned qualification to the 2002 African Cup of Nations.
