Nairobi - AFC Leopards have revealed Anthony Kimani is just two weeks away from making his first appearance of the 2014 Kenyan Premier League.
The defender suffered an injury setback during the GoTV Shield final victory over bitter rivals Gor Mahia in November last year, although he is now on the verge of making his comeback to first-team action.
Club doctor Patrick Ngusale revealed the news, saying: "I can confirm that Kimani will make his return in two weeks. He is now almost through with gym exercise.

"I have presented my final (fitness) report to the club executive, including the coach, on the status of all players who have been in the injury list. It's now up to the head coach to decide when and how to field him."
Kimani is not the only player set to return, with Humphrey Mieno (malaria), Abdalla Juma (Stomach issues), James Situma (knee injury) and Edwin Seda (shoulder surgery) all having been cleared for duty.
Speaking of his delight at having so many returning men, Leopards coach Pieter De Jongh said: "I will now have the benefit of various options. Having all players back in good shape is a big plus and I hope they will catch up with the rest."
