FKF seeking CECAFA tournament sponsors

Nairobi - Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is battling to secure sponsorship for the regional Senior Challenge tournament.
It requires KES 60 million to host the event scheduled for December.
The tournament is yet to land an official sponsor after the deal with East African Breweries Limited elapsed.
FKF Chairman, Sam Nyamweya, remains confident the federation will secure sponsorship.
“I want to assure all our partners and sponsors that we are determined to have a successful competition. We plan to make public our sponsors who have shown interest,” he said.
He said the Ministry of Sports had always been supportive.
Nicholas Musonye, the Council of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) Secretary, declined to comment on the sponsorship of the event.
The CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup will precede the event, which will coincide with the celebrations for the country’s 50 years of self-rule.
It will afford national coach Adel Amrouche a chance to identify his team ahead of the qualifiers for 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which set to begin early next year.
