Nairobi - The Football Kenya Federation has re-instated the team lead by Ambrose Rachier at Gor Mahia on an interim basis as the club plans for fresh elections.
In a letter sent to media houses FKF chair Sam Nyamweya also insisted that the Federation will not tolerate any sort of hooliganism by Gor fans in future.
" Our attention has been drawn to the fact that your club elections that were to be held on Sunday were not held because of acts of hooliganism by certain sections of the support group.
" We are further advised that Gor Mahia FC's management had been dissolved by the time of the ill judged actions.
" As a federation, we cannot allow a vacuum of leadership and thus in consultation with the government and FIFA have decided that the team that was in office until election day remain in charge until January 31, 2013 to facilitate the day to day running of the club and ensure transition through the next elections which should not be held past the aforementioned date, the letter read in part.
