FKF not giving up ground

18 March 2015, 12:40

Nairobi - The Football Kenya Federation has rejected the ruling by a Kenya High Court, which lifted the injunction on the Kenya Premier League on Monday this week.

The FKF released a statement on Tuesday, suggesting that it would study the judgment carefully before taking further action.

What is clear at this juncture is that the FKF plans to challenge the judgment and the KPL, as it feels that it still has a strong case. The contention appears to be that the ruling made against the body was merely on a technicality.

"Football Kenya Federation hereby, following the ruling by Lady Justice Roselyn Aburili, wishes to confirm that we have received the direction taken by the Court on the matter between FKF and Kenyan Premier League Limited," read a statement by the FKF on Tuesday.

"Arising from the ruling, the federation is satisfied that the case is still on course and the substance thereon was not dismissed by the Court.

"We can confirm that our lawyers are studying the ruling with a view to preparing grounds for the next course of action."
