FKF: SoNy in trouble over Leopards snub

Nairobi - The Football Kenya Federation has warned SoNy Sugar that they will risk punishment in future if they insist on hosting matches versus Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards at the Awendo Green Stadium.
SoNy missed their clash with AFC Leopards on Wednesday after claiming that they had been informed of a change in venue at the last minute.
The KPL is set to award Leopards three points for the walkover and the FKF was not too far behind in querying the Sugar millers over their conduct.
" SoNy Sugar’s home matches involving either of the teams named above (Gor, Leopards) shall be played at a FKF- inspected venue, approved by the technical committee of the federation. In this case, the designated home ground for SoNy remains Afraha Stadium until they act in accordance with the recommendations of the committee that advised against the use of the venue for the matches in question, the statement read in part.
" We will not hesitate to hand the match to Leopards as well as punish SoNy for going against the regulation, the FKF added.
SoNy insisted that they were informed of the decision late in the day and could not travel for the match.
