Ex-Thika man Aswani joins Bandari

07 January 2014, 16:02

Nairobi - Kepha Aswani has signed a two year deal to join Mombasa side Bandari in the 2014 season.

The striker has been on the move severally in the past two years, heading in and out of Thika to the middle east and back to the country.

Last season Aswani rejoined Thika United after a short spell with Omani side Al Nasr where he did not have much luck.

The second part of the season was shambolic for the player thus the move to the coast for the coming season.

" Kepha Aswani has joined the club for the 2014 and 15 season, head coach Twahir Muhhidin said.

" We lacked a lethal finisher last season and it cost us in the title race so we have re-enforced that part of our side with a talented player in Aswani, he said.

As for Aswani, he was delighted to join a club that believes in him.

" The head coach says he believes in me and wants me to score goals so I am happy here and hope to repay his faith, he added.

Aswani joins Patilla Omotto as the club's two new marquee signings.
