Abuja - Super Eagles captain Vincent Enyeama has reacted to latest reports linking him with a move to English Premier League side, Liverpool.
The 32-year old goalkeeper has told News24 Nigeria in an exclusive interview that he is not averse to making a move away from his French club, Lille, but says categorically that he must be assured of regular playing time and more money than what he currently earns in France.
“The truth is I will not be leaving Lille for any club if I am not guaranteed of playing regularly and earning more money,” he told News24 Nigeria in an exclusive interview.
“I won’t take a pay cut to move to England just like some players do, I won’t do that. If I am moving, it has to be because I will play regularly and earn more money,” Enyeama said.
The Nigeria international also gave another reason why he would rather remain in France, saying he and his family are settled there.
“I don’t like jumping into offers because it’s always very difficult when you change clubs. My family is settled in Lille and I am settled there. So it will take a guarantee of regular football and more money to move.”
