City Stars coach disappointed

24 July 2014, 18:00

Nairobi - City Stars head coach Tim Brytte has expressed his disappointment with his side's 2-0 loss to AFC Leopards in their rescheduled Kenyan Premier League match on Wednesday.

The British coach targeted the clash as an opportunity to overtake Ingwe on the table, as there was only a two-point difference between them at kick-off.

However, Noah Wafula scored on debut, with burly striker Austin Ikenne netting the second to seal the win for Leopards at the Nyayo National Stadium, much to the City Stars boss' dismay.

"It is unfortunate that we lost this match," Brytte said after the match. "We gave everything but lapses in concentration in defense early in the game cost us."

City Stars remain rooted in 14th place in the standings, while Leopards move up to 10th place thanks to the victory.
