Chemelil to announce signings

21 January 2015, 18:31

Nairobi - Chemelil Sugar have revealed they have already made several new signings, but for now are preferring to keep their identities secret.

The top-flight side have already secured the services of David Ojwang, while they are also believed to be closing in on deals for goalkeeper Joseck Gathongo and striker Anthony Nganga.

And while Sugar have remained tight-lipped regarding their transfer dealings, Magare has moved to calm fears amongst their fans regarding the club's perceived inactivity in the January market.

"The fact that we are quiet about our signings should not mean that we have not been engaging in recruiting players. We started making purchases at the beginning of the transfer window and we will be announcing them soon, he said.

Magare also went on to warn their KPL rivals they will not be entertaining any offers for Hamisi Mwinyi, unless the midfielder himself is keen on a move away.

He added: "Mwinyi has a long-term contract and we are not willing to sell him just because of money.

"However, if he wants out then he can bring his case on the table for discussion but we shall not condone any player tapping."
