Nairobi - Sofapaka coach Sam Timbe was obviously delighted that his side was able to retain the Kenya Power Charity Cup.
The 2013 edition champions pulled in another convincing display as was last season, to see off Mathare United 2-1 on post match penalties to win their second in a row and retain the distinction of being the only side to win the title.
Timbe was especially happy with the way his side handled the clash with Gor Mahia in the semi-finals and praised the work ethic and intervention of the new players in the side.
" I am very happy with what I saw over the weekend, he said.
" The guys did very well from the word go and were deserved winners of the title in my opinion.
" We created chances and scored goals as well as worked hard defensively and thus are the outright winners of the competition.
" It is a good tonic for the rest of the season and I do hope that we can start as well as we have done here, he finished.
Sofapaka will be looking to improve on a third place finish in the 2013 Kenyan Premier League, this term.
