London - Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has been punished for refusing
to play for the club after learning of interest in him from Arsenal,
manager Alan Pardew revealed on Thursday, Supersport.com reports.
The 27-year-old France international missed Newcastle's first three
games of the season, after Arsenal had a bid in the region of £10
million rejected on the eve of the campaign.
Cabaye made a public apology for his behaviour earlier this week and
Pardew subsequently revealed that he had been disciplined by the club,
although he did not go into detail.
