Sao Paulo - The Brazilian football confederation is considering taking action against striker Diego Costa for choosing to play for Spain instead of Brazil, saying it may even request that his Brazilian citizenship is voided.
The federation's legal department tells Brazilian media that it has grounds to ask the country's justice ministry to strip Diego Costa of his citizenship because of his rejection of the Brazilian national team.
The federation doesn't want Diego Costa playing for Spain and says it is taking the case seriously and will act with all its force to keep the same thing from happening again.
The Brazilians accuse Spain of pressuring Diego Costa to decide in its favor, and say the player made his pick because of financial reasons.
