CAF rewards Kenyan referees with continental ties

Nairobi - The continued high standards set by Kenyan referees locally and Internationally has caught the eye of the African Football Governing body (CAF) and now the refereeing committee has appointed various whistlers and assistants to the forthcoming continental qualifiers that begins this February.
Sylvester Kirwa currently in South Africa for the CHAN tournament will be in action during the match between FC MK from( DRC) vs El Ahly Etrabs (Sudan), Davis Omweno takes charge of Kampala City Council (Uganda) vs El Merreikh (Sudan), Anthony Ongwao, Tony Kidiya, Peter Kiereini, Israel Mpaima are the officials in charge of Academie Tchite (Burundi) vs AS Kigali (Rwanda).
Gilbert Cheruiyot, Peter Sabatia will also see action in the CS Bosco vs Sports Club Victoria (Uganda) clash.
Kenya female whistlers Damaris Kimani ,Mary Njoroge, Jane Cherono, Agneta Napangor will take charge of the African Women Championships match between Ethiopia vs South Sudan.
" We are confident that after the recent physical endurance test and medical conducted recently by FKF our match officials are now well equipped to handle any assignments Elly Mukolwe in charge of technical and training at FKF said.
" We are also proud to note that our referees and assistants are held with great esteem and want to assure Kenyans that this year’s KPL and other leagues will be handled by experienced and competent officials ‘he added.
