'Blackberry' happy to be back, vows to retain league title

08 January 2014, 14:26

Nairobi - George 'Blackberry' Odhiambo says he is proud to be a Gor Mahia player once again and has vowed to work on winning a second Kenyan Premier League title in a row.

The former KPL player of the year has returned to Gor after three years away from the current KPL champions.

Whilst away, Gor have won a raft of trophies including the KPL Top8, the Premier League and GOtv Shield.

Odhiambo arrives at Gor with fortunes having changed at the club and he is keen to ensure that it remains that way in the foreseeable future.

" I am proud to be a Gor Mahia player once again. It is a great feeling.

" They are a great club with some awesome fans and passionate club bosses who want to see success and I feel that I will be best placed here.

" I have been to many places since I left the club and even though  I have had a great time, I am happy to be back where I consider home, to Gor Mahia, he added.

Blackberry was the 2010 player of the year in the KPL.
