Yamoussoukro - Initially included in Ivory Coast squad for the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Gambia, first choice goalkeeper Copa Barry has been declared unfit for the encounter.
Medical reports from his Belgian club Lokeren on Monday revealed that the 33-year-old is yet to recover from a shoulder injury he had been dragging for months.
Copa is the only professional goalkeeper with the Elephants at the moment. The three others included in the roster - Sylvain Gbohouo, Ali Badra Sangare and Abdoul Karim Cisse – are home based.
