Bandari star Kenga joins Gor Mahia

02 January 2014, 14:15

Nairobi - Bandari's star midfielder Shabaan Kenga has joined Gor Mahia.

The technically gifted midfielder was one of the stars of Bandari's 2013 Kenyan Premier League campaign and had attracted stares from some of the leading clubs in the country.

Tusker FC, Sofapaka and Gor had been linked with the player but Gor has stolen a march on the duo to seal a deal for the playmaker.

" We have signed Kenga, Secretary General George Bwana said.

" He is a top player. Very talented and has the attitude needed to shine at a club like Gor Mahia.

" We have spoken to him on several occasions and so it is very good news to finally sign him, Bwana said.

On his part, Kenga was delighted to join Gor.

" You want to play for the best clubs in your career and Gor is one of them. I am very happy to be at the club and promise to give my very best while here, he said.

Bwana also said that the club is in talks with Rama Salim on a return to the club.
