Babu sees SoNy positives

24 August 2015, 12:28

Nairobi - Sony Sugar head coach Salim Babu was happy with his side's 0-0 draw away from home against Kenya Commercial Bank Soccer Club on Saturday.

The Sugar Millers have so far been unbeaten, with two wins and three draws, since Babu came in to replace Zico Otieno, who was sacked at the beginning of September following a poor run of results.

Speaking after the latest result, Babu stated it was always positive to get points away from home even though his side dominated much of the encounter and probably felt slightly aggrieved at not grabbing the win.

"It was an away game and we gave a good fight; I am happy with the point and also at the way my players performed. We did not concede and that is also a big positive for us," he said after the game.

He went on to reveal that he would set his side up in a more aggressive manner for their next game; a home encounter against Mathare United who have been struggling for form of late.

"The next game we will be playing at home and we will attack more," he explained.

"In this match we defended for large parts of the game so that we could get something because the competition is getting tougher towards these final stages of the season," he concluded.

Despite the club's uptick in form since Babu's arrival, Sony Sugar remain in the bottom half of the table, only five points above the relegation zone.
