Asieche on his way out

Nairobi - Elly Asieche looks set to depart Sofapaka after the midfielder
reportedly bought out the last six months of his contract in order to
free himself up for a move.
Asieche revealed he wanted more game time with the first team, but
the coach preferred to utilise him as a substitute, leaving him with
little choice but to depart.
"I have decided to buy out the remaining six months of my contract as I feel it's time for another football move," he told SuperSport.
"I have heard talks with the coach that I wanted more playing time but he insisted he prefers using me as a substitute.
"As a player I am ambitious and it's only obvious that I would wish to play more part in the game.
"Sofapaka gave me the avenue and I thank them for that buy I feel it's time to move on," Asieche concluded.
The move may not actually cost Asieche anything as he intends to use
his accrued dues at the club to buy of the remainder of his contract.
Sofapaka are currently on a 10-game unbeaten run in the Kenyan
Premier League and have moved into second place in the standings, nine
points behind the seemingly unstoppable Gor Mahia.
