Nairobi - Football Kenya Federation FKF president Sam Nyamweya believes that Adel Amrouche will lead the Harambee Stars to the 2018 World Cup.
The Belgian coach was handed a five year contract to continue at the Stars last week after an impressive eight months on the job.
He engineered some good results in 2014 World Cup qualification and won the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup for the first time in 11 years.
Nyamweya insists that Amrouche is the right man for the Stars job and is adamant that he will do great things for the national team.
" We gave him a five year contract because we are sure that with him on board, we will go places, he said.
" The eight months he has been here have convinced us that he is the absolute right man for the job and we have given him our full support.
" I am confident that he will lead us to the World Cup in 2018. He is a brilliant coach.
" As a federation, we will try ensure we give him the support we can and pray for the best, he added.
Amrouche joined the national team in mid- 2013, taking over from James Nandwa.
