Amrouche hearing next week
15 August 2014, 10:27
Nairobi - Former Kenya head coach Adel Amrouche will hear on Monday if he has been successful in his appeal for CAF to revoke his one-year ban.
Amrouche was suspended by CAF for a year after allegedly spitting at an official during the Harambee Stars' AFCON qualifier against Comoros in June.
He was not allowed on the bench for both legs against Lesotho in the following round, where Stars were knocked out and it resulted in his dismissal.
The FKF will nevertheless continue to support the Algerian-born mentor with his appeal, despite him not being their employee any longer.
"From what I know is CAF is set to hear his appeal on 18th August this year," FKF president Sam Nyamweya said.
"As FKF we did our part in following all the steps to help him in his appeal and now we leave it to the body to decide.
"We sacked the entire technical bench and now we can't say much about it."
