Airtel starlets to attend camp next week

Nairobi - The four football players selected during the 2011 Airtel Kenya Rising Stars programme will join the Manchester United Soccer School camp in Tanzania next week.

The camp which will include other representatives from Tanzania, Malawi and Sierra Leone will run from October 28 to November 3 in Dar es Salaam.

Former England and Manchester United captain Bryan Robson who is the club's global ambassador will officially launch the camp under the program.

The students to attend the prestigious camp are Naim Ashraf (Nairobi Milimani), Mzee Ali Rama (Tononoka), Naomi Njeri (Matuu Memorial) and Emily Auma from Jera Secondary School.

The program is being organised in a partnership between KSSSA under the sponsorship of mobile service provider Airtel.

The players were selected during the schools championship held at Moi Forces Academy in Nairobi on August 8-13 with a panel consisting of former Harambee Stars coaches Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee and Twahir Muhiddin, AFC Leopards assistant coach Mickey Weche and women's tactician Florence Adhiambo.
