AFC Leopards divisions continue

Nairobi - AFC Leopards chairman Mathews Opwora confirmed on Thursday that his
faction would compete in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) League.
Opwora insists that his faction is the legitimate one, adding that a
trial session will be held to recruit players to compete in the league.
"We are the registered team and we will feature in the FKF Premier League," Opwora told futaa.com on Thursday.
"We have documents confirming that we are the team mandated to manage
AFC Leopards SC,"added the controversial football administrator.
Leopards have already encountered considerable adversity during the
past 12 to 18 months, as they have been cash-strapped, which in itself
had caused division within the club structures.
However, their problems have now been complicated by the impending
saga between the FKF and KPL. Opwora said the onus was now on football
fans to decide which league team they would support this season.
"It will be upon the fans to decide whether to support the Leopards
team playing in the FKF team or the team featuring in the Kenyan Premier
League," said Opwora.
